During a post-ceremony discussion with Leah Wyar, president of People magazine, King reminisced about her childhood experiences walking along Hollywood Boulevard with her mother. “We used to come up here and I used to look at the stars on the walk,” she reflected, expressing surprise at having now joined their ranks.

The unveiling event saw attendance from notable figures such as Magic Johnson, Lakers legend and fellow Dodgers owner, and Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis, both of whom also possess stars on the Walk of Fame.
