Ye’s Social Media Revelations on Family and Childhood
In a series of emotional tweets early Tuesday, Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, shared significant personal experiences and frustrations about his family life, particularly his relationship with his children.
Claims of Childhood Experiences
On Monday, Ye hinted at distressing childhood experiences, referencing sexual acts he allegedly performed with a male cousin at a young age. He introduced this revelation alongside the release of a new song entitled “COUSINS,” which reflects on shared moments influenced by adult material.
“This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore,” Ye tweeted, acknowledging the impact of these early experiences on his life.
Appeals for Parental Rights
Transitioning to a more urgent matter, Ye expressed feelings of alienation regarding his children, particularly lamenting that he has not seen his son Saint this year. He directed frustration towards his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, asserting that her actions have sidelined him in their parental arrangements.
“Why are you all watching and letting Kim take my kids from me in real time?” Ye tweeted.
Asserting his commitment to fatherhood, he wrote, “I need a plan to exercise my rights with my kids. I figured out a lot of things but I haven’t figured this out.”
Concerns About Children’s Environment
Ye also raised alarm about the environments his children may encounter, referencing an event that occurred on the day of Kobe Bryant’s death. He described visiting Kylie Jenner’s house and claiming that inappropriate materials were accessible to children present at the gathering.
“They were just in reach like candy,” he remarked, clarifying that while he did not believe Kris Jenner had distributed these magazines, their presence remained concerning to him as a parent. His intention, he stated, was to protect his children from such influences.
Controversial Statements and Mental Health
In addition to his concerns about parenting, Ye made headlines for controversial statements regarding Jewish individuals, expressing both admiration for some while simultaneously using inflammatory rhetoric. “I LOVE SOME JEWS AND I LOVE HITLER,” was among his contentious comments, which have drawn significant backlash.
Throughout his recent social media activity, Ye has revisited themes of mental health, previously announcing that he had been misdiagnosed and identifying as being on the autism spectrum. His journey has been marked by turbulence, including past hospitalizations for mental health crises.
