Metro D Line Extension Project: Wilshire Boulevard Closures Underway
Residents and commuters in Beverly Hills should prepare for significant changes as parts of Wilshire Boulevard close for construction as part of the Metro D Line Extension Project. Starting Monday morning and lasting for three weeks, specific segments of Wilshire Boulevard will experience road closures.
Details on Road Closures
According to the Los Angeles Metro, closures will affect Wilshire Boulevard between Crescent Drive and east of El Camino Drive. The work is aimed at removing concrete deck panels and rehabilitating streets and utilities, with the project expected to be fully completed by 2027.
Traffic Adjustments and Access
During this period, traffic on Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between San Vicente Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard. Key left turns will be restricted:
- From Wilshire Boulevard onto Gale Drive, Hamilton Drive, and Tower Drive.

Pedestrians will still have access along Wilshire Boulevard, and the road closures will pause for any holidays or major regional events.
